Nebraska Real Estate License Requirements

Sales Associate Pre-License Requirements

To obtain a Nebraska real estate sales associate license one must successfully complete the required 60 hours (2 courses) of pre-licensing education, have a high school diploma or equivalency, and submit a current criminal history report. Those seeking a to  become licensed must also fill out an application and be approved by the state and they must pass the Nebraska state exam with at least a 75%.

Broker Pre-License Requirements

To obtain a Nebraska real estate brokers license one must successfully complete either 180 hours (6 courses) of education or 120 hours (4 courses) of education and have at least two years experience as a full-time licensed sales associate or a part time equivalent.Individuals are also required to have a high school diploma or equivalency, submit a current criminal history report, fill out an application and be approved by the state, and they must pass the Nebraska state exam with at least a 75%.

Continuing Education Requirements

All Nebraska licensees are required to complete a total of 12 hours of continuing education including 3 hours of required courses and 9 hours of electives every two years.
